Orchard Park Farms is set in the heart of Somerset – the centre of West Country cider making.
Owner Neil Macdonald is a Founding Partner of cider-maker Orchard Pig and a member of the National Association of Cider Makers’ Pomology Committee. He is passionate about English cider orchards. He has a thorough background in orchard horticulture and as manager of several hundred acres of Somerset cider orchards he has an unrivalled overview of the current state of orcharding in the West Country. Neil travels extensively to research orchards worldwide and to meet other orchard owners and cider-makers. He is a member of the Orchards & Cider Committee of The Royal Bath & West Society and a judge at the UK Great Taste Awards Cider competition.
Orchard Park Farms works with growers to market their fruit and we find fruit for both juice makers and cider-makers. We are a processing hub for orchard owners, with hundreds of tonnes of premium bittersweet fruit pressed every autumn. Artisan cider-makers value this source of high quality juice for their products.
Neil Macdonald has developed Orchard Park Farms into a knowledge centre for the West Country cider industry; with on-farm trials for new horticultural methods he is transforming the way the industry looks at yields and varieties. Orchard Park Farms also offers orchard consultancy, workshops in orchard management and cider-making, and hires equipment to help novice cider-makers and small orchard owners.
Close to Bristol, Taunton and Glastonbury, Orchard Park Farms is an ideal supplier to the fast growing global cider industry.
