Orchard Park Farm comprises of over 200 ha of cider apple orchards under management based near Shepton Mallet, Somerset. Primarily cider apple growers and juice processors for cider, we are committed to agricultural work supporting Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) through positive ecological improvements such as existing woodland management schemes, new woodland tree planting schemes and newt ponds. We are also a FWAG Barometer Farm and host many public facing events throughout the year. Tractor Driver and Machinery Operator

We are looking for an experienced tractor driver/machinery operator (Full time, permanent)

​

Responsibilities include:

Apple harvesting & processing; Operating apple tree shakers, blowers, apple harvesters; Sprayers; Mechanical pruners; Topping; Hedge Trimming; Tanking & haulage; Slew operations; General farm work (non-livestock); Care & general maintenance of John Deere tractors, JCB slew,  Telehandler & Forklift.

Requirements of the role:

A broad range of experience in agricultural equipment; Experience with tractor driving, self-propelled harvesters, spraying, fencing, slews, telehandler, forklift, ATV's and general maintenance, are preferable. Relevant industry training certificates are desirable, but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate; Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Passionate about the outdoors; Enthusiastic & self-motivated; Work alone & be a team player; Excellent time keeping; Reliable with a positive can-do attitude; Able to show evidence of the Right to Work in the UK.

We Offer:

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 p.a (depending on experience/qualifications)​

28 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays)

Cellar Hand/Cider Maker

We are looking for an experienced Cellar Hand/Cider Maker (Full time, permanent)

​​

Responsibilities include:

Pressing and making over 1 million litres of base cider at harvest time (Aug - Dec); Racking liquid into tanks; On-going care of base cider; Working in the orchards; Cider tours/tasting & other farm events;

​

Requirements of the role:

Knowledge of fermentation & yeasts; Experience with basic lab equipment and cleaning;​ Experience with Forklifts are desirable but not essential; Relevant industry training certificates are beneficial but not essential; Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

​

Need to be:

Passionate about the outdoors; Enthusiastic & self-motivated; Work alone & be a team player; Excellent time keeping; Reliable with a positive can-do attitude; Able to show evidence of the Right to Work in the UK.

We Offer:

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 p.a (depending on experience/qualifications)​

Seasonal Tractor Drivers and Machinery Operators for Cider Apple Harvest (Aug - Dec 2025)

We are looking for experienced machinery operators (Full time - Seasonal) to help bring in the cider apple harvest across 30 orchards in Somerset.

​

Responsibilities include:

Apple harvesting & processing; Operating apple tree shakers, blowers, apple harvesters; Tanking; Haulage; General farm work (non-livestock); Operating John Deere tractors, JCB slew; Telehandler & Fork lift;

​

Requirements of the role:

Experience of operating agricultural machinery; Relevant training certificates beneficial; Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Work Mon - Fri (7.30am - 5.00pm with plenty of overtime when required)

​

Need to be:

Passionate about the outdoors; Enthusiastic & self-motivated; Work alone & be a team player; Excellent time keeping; Reliable with a positive can-do attitude; Able to show evidence of the Right to Work in the UK.

Be available to start no later than 26 August 2025.
